About Us

Sandeepani Seva Trust is a charitable society based in Kalady, Trivandrum run by a mixed group of young and elderly people committed to social service.

The objective of the trust is to provide service to the needy through organized youth and getting them involved in nation building and socially responsible activities.

Provide medical and health care to the poor and deprived families suffering from medical emergencies and severe health conditions.

Provide financial and moral support to the students facing challenges in completing their education.

Provide skill based training and orientation to empower women.

Ambulance Service

A round-the-clock ambulance service provides free transportation for economically disadvantaged individuals and offers discounted rates for other eligible patients. Library

Sandeepani Seva Trust has launched a library at Seva Mandiram with a diverse collection of Indian literature to foster a knowledge-based society. Medical Camps

Sandeepani Seva Trust offers free general medical camps every second and fourth Saturday at Seva Mandiram, including blood pressure and sugar checks, with specialized camps on the second Saturday. They previously conducted free Vayomithram medical camps for senior citizens with the support of the Kerala government.

Palliative Home Care Unit

Sandeepani's Palliative Home Care Unit offers in-home medical services for bedridden and homebound individuals, provided by a mobile medical team with necessary equipment, a nurse, an attendant, and a volunteer.

Yoga

Projects

Amrutham

Sandeepani provides financial aid to 20 needy individuals annually suffering from critical illnesses like cancer and organ failure, with a physician-led committee assessing cases; this support will expand based on need. Our 24/7 free ambulance service for the economically disadvantaged, with discounted rates for others, was notably recognized for its crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sandeepani distributes essential health aids such as wheelchairs and walkers to the physically handicapped and spectacles to low-income individuals with vision problems, having assisted 200 people so far. During festivals, Sandeepani organizes medical camps offering free checkups and medicines, along with drives for lifestyle diseases, eye, and dental health.

Annayojana

Annayojana provides three daily meals at ₹125 per person to economically disadvantaged families with bedridden, differently-abled, or elderly individuals living alone and unable to cook. Additionally, food kits containing rice, sugar, wheat, and other essentials are distributed monthly to 10-15 families whose breadwinner has a major illness, and this support extends to all affected families during natural disasters, as seen with aid to 150 households in Kalady during last year's floods.

Support for Children with ASD

Autism Spectrum Disorder significantly affects a child's communication and interaction abilities, necessitating special care and a supportive family environment for healthy development. Sandeepani offers financial assistance to these families, intending to help with the purchase of medical aids and scientific support equipment.

Mangalya Sahaya Nidhi

Sandeepani offers financial help to women of poor families to fulfil their dream of marriage. The project was inaugurated by C.S. Mohan, Our chief patron on 7th of february 2022 by giving financial aid to two women belonging to poor families on the occassion of their marriages. You can also be a part of this noble project by contributing to this fund which will help families to meet the expenses of marriage of their children. Sandeepani plans to organise & support the marriage of atleast five young women belonging to the families which need our support & help.

Sandeepani Seva Puraskaram

Sandeepani always admire the efforts put on by NGOs', Individuals, & other volunteer groups in helping the poor, and the weaker Sections of Society. We always consider them as an example and try to learn from their activities. Every year as a part of the anniversary celebrations, Sandeepani honours the activities of such individuals or organisations through an award - Sandeepani Seva Puraskaram. Award consists of a Memento, Prashasti Patra and a cash award of ten thousand rupees. First Seva puraskaram was awarded to Sri Radhakrishna Pillai for his selfless service at 9th word of General hospital, Trivandrum. Sri Theruvoram, Murugan, Sri. K.N. Anandakumar were also awarded this puraskaram in the following years for their enspiring social service activities.
